Bob Waltos—Professional Accomplishments

Managing Partner Bob Waltos joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a college agent in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1983. Through 1991, Bob achieved numerous company awards as a personal producer, became a Top 20 Field Director, and served as Assistant to the Managing Director in Omaha, Nebraska. Bob came to the Home Office in 1993 and held the positions of Assistant Regional Director of Agencies, Director of Recruitment and New Agent Development, and Managing Director in the Life Marketing Department.

In June 1999, Bob assumed Managing Partner responsibilities for The Waltos Group and is responsible for the office's sales and service operations in Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.

"My internship experience and the quality mentoring I received in Lincoln, Neb., enabled me to reach Million Dollar Round Table production during my first year as a full-time representative.

The internship was so valuable because the model that we share with interns and expect them to follow is the same model and opportunity we share with full-time network representatives.

Bob Waltos—Credentials

Bob Waltos has a degree in business management from Peru State College, and a Masters in the Science of Financial Services (MSFS) and a Masters in the Science of Management (MSM) from American College. He also completed the Advanced Management College of Stanford University. His professional designations include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL). Bob has also earned the Certified Financial Planner^TM (CFP^®) certification. He is also a member of The Financial Planning Association.

Local Recognition

In the annual rating of Orange County's Top 20 Insurance Brokers by the Orange County Business Journal, The Waltos Group consistently ranks in the Top 15.

OC Metro Business Lifestyle Magazine regularly publishes various business articles on behalf of Bob Waltos and other Financial Representatives at The Waltos Group.

Community Commitment

Bob Waltos and the office share an enduring commitment to the community, supporting several charitable organizations. Since 1999, The Waltos Group has been a major supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, helping raise more than $1.5 million in five years. In 2005, Bob became President of the CFF´s Southern California Chapter.

The Waltos Group is also actively involved with Chapman University in Orange, California. Bob serves as a member of the Board of Counselors to the Dean of The George L. Argyros School of Business & Economics at Chapman University. In May 2004, Bob and his wife, Carolyn, funded the Dean’s Chair of the Business & Economics School to ensure ASBE will forever have stable and visionary leadership.

The Waltos Group recently created a “Future Women in Business Scholarship" at the university. The scholarship rewards outstanding female college-level students based on academic achievement, business acumen and community involvement.

Bob Waltos is also a recipient of Northwestern Mutual's Community Service Award. The award recognizes network representatives whose outstanding dedication to local organizations has significantly bettered their communities. Bob received the award for his dedication to help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In recognition of their extensive support and commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Waltos Group was honored with the "Corporate Humanitarian Award" in 2002 and 2003. The award is presented annually to the corporation that has made significant and consistent contributions in support of the Southern California Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Bob offered the following comments while accepting the award:

"It was an honor to receive such a meaningful award on behalf of The Waltos Group," said Bob Waltos in accepting the award. "It is truly a privilege to be counted among the many volunteers and donors in Southern California who are dedicated to helping find a cure for the thousands of young Americans living with cystic fibrosis (CF)."
