Meet some of our representatives.

Curt Carlson

Financial Advisor

Curt has been a financial representative since 1989. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business.

Paul Castillo

College Unit Director

Paul Castillo has been a Financial Representative with The Waltos Group since November 2000. Paul graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Paul is an active member of the community. He has been a Big Brother for the Big Brothers of Orange County since 2005 and is an active member of the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Paul lives in the Santiago Park Community of Santa Ana with his wife Juanita and their two children, Antonia and Liliana

Jonathan Fagan

Chief Development Officer

Jonathan Fagan, a 2003 graduate of CSU Long Beach, started his internship at The Waltos Group beginning the summer of his junior year and continued on a part-time basis while completing classes. He became a full-time representatively shortly after graduation.

In just a few years, Jonathan has managed to earn some of the industry most prestigous awards, including the National Sales Achievement Award (2005-2007), Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member (2005-2007) and the National Quality Award (2004-2008).

Jonathan and his family are long-time residents of Orange County.

Brian Paul Forth

Field Director

Brian Forth has been a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 2001. Before becoming a Financial Representative, Brian Forth was a college student. He was introduced to the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network through a student-athlete career advisor at Arizona State University.

Brian was a four-year letter winner for the Arizona State University football team, where he also graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business with honors. Brian resides in San Clemente with his beautiful wife, Sara. They enjoy traveling, cooking, and outdoor activities.

Kenneth Gallagher, CFP®, CASL, ChFC®, CLU®

Long Term Care Specialist

Ken was Student of the Year (2002) in his major of Finance, Real Estate and Law at California Polytechnic University of Pomona. During his college years, he interned for Merrill Lynch in 2001 before joining The Waltos Group in 2002.

Ken is active with Guide Dogs of America and Canine Campanions for Independence raising and training young dogs to later assist individuals with disabilities.

Paul Glowienke

Field Director

Paul has been a financial advisor with The Waltos Group since 2002. Paul is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology and earned his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Phoenix.

Paul is active in many community associations and organizations, including:

• Member Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce
• Member Orange County Planned Giving Round Table
• Member Corona del Mar Residents Association
• Patron, Orange County Museum of Art
• Member Ocean Institute Charitable Contribution Committee

Paul and his wife, Jillian have been married for more than 22 years and enjoy living in Corona del Mar, California. Paul is one of the Community Emergency Response Team Members for Corona del Mar. He is deeply committed to the quality of life in the area, and is an active participant in City Council meetings.

 

Kevin Healy

Financial Representative

Kevin Healy has been a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 2002. Before becoming a Financial Representative, Kevin Healy was an advertising and marketing consultant for 18 years.

In addition to his role as a financial representative, Kevin serves as the Long-Term Care Specialist for The Waltos Group. He helps individual and corporate clients understand their long-term care insurance needs and designs solutions tailored to their unique situation.

Ira Hermann, CLU®, ChFC®

Wealth Management Advisor

Ira Hermann is one of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network’s leading Financial Representatives based in Newport Beach, Calif. Since joining the Network in 1981, he has achieved a level of success that only a few can enjoy. In fact, he has ranked as one of the company's Top 10 Representatives (1992-2006) and has mentored many others along the way.

In 1999, Ira Hermann began his association with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through a client and friend, who is raising two children living with the disease. Since then, he has contributed countless hours and funds to help find a cure.

Ira Hermann is also a committed and enduring supporter of several community groups, including Orangewood Children’s Home, the only emergency shelter in Orange County, Calif., for neglected and sexually, physically or mentally-abused children. He also is an ardent sponsor of Special Olympics and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

John Kompaniez

Financial Advisor

John Kompaniez has been a financial representatie of The Waltos Group since 1995, starting his financial representative career after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the University of Redlands. John chose the career because he wanted to be in business for himself and help people protect and reach their financial goals.

Outside of work, John is an avid athlete. He participates in the Tour De Cure for diabetes and enjoys Triathlons and Water ski racing.

Thomas Miller, CLU®, ChFC®

Financial Advisor

Tom Miller has been a financial representative with The Waltos Group since 1995.

He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Education. Tom began his career with The Waltos Group as an intern while in college. He was attracted to the career because he wanted to have the ability to be in control and to be able to dictate his own level of success.

Tom spends most of his free time with my family. Tom and his wife, Kathy have been married for six years. They have two daughters, Summer who will be four in June and Sienna who will be two in June. They like to work out a lot so finding that free time during the week is always a challenge but something they do to have balance in their lives.

Tyler Terry

Financial Advisor

Tyler Terry has been a financial representative with The Waltos Group since 1993. Tyler is a graduate from the University of Arizona where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Finance.

Throughout his career, Tyler has won a number of awards, including the National Sales Achievement Award (1999-2000, 2002-2003, 2006), Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member (1997, 1999-2004, 2007-2008), and the National Quality Award (1996, 2000-2008).

Tyler resides in Newport Beach, CA with his beautiful wife Pam and their 3 children Ted, Tom, and Ellie.

Lisa Tran, CFP®

Financial Advisor

Lisa Tran graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California in Irvine with a double major in Economics and International Studies and a minor in Management. Upon graduation, she received Phi Beta Kappa recognition and Honors in Economics.

Lisa has a strong commitment to family and community. She enjoys participating in the many community events, sponsored by The Waltos Group, including the Toshiba Senior Classic—one of the largest annual events in Orange County and hosts the finest field of professional golfers all year.

The Toshiba Senior Classic is also a tremendous fundraiser. The tournament has donated more than $7.8 million to charity in the last eight years, by far the most on the PGA Champions Tour. The Waltos Group sponsorship will support Hoag Hospital and several other charities that help improve lives in their own backyard.
