As a financial advisor for The Waltos Group, Jim brings over 25 years of experience to his clients. He offers his comments on the career and his decision to become a part of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.
"I began my career with ManuLife right out of college. I knew that a typical corporate job wouldn't suit me. I was attracted to the idea that I made my own schedule and saw the people I wanted to see, and that I was ultimately in control of my income."
"After about four years, my mentor made the decision to move to the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and recommended that I make the move as well. I was actually not unhappy there, but my limited experience in the industry prevented me from seeing that not all carriers are the same. I trusted my mentor, but it was hard to leave because I couldn't pinpoint my specific reasons for leaving, other than that my mentor's opinion was very important to me."
"It took nearly two years for me to integrate into the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network culture, but I've never been sorry that I made the move. Northwestern Mutual has great products and great training. I know their products will never embarass me or force me to apologize to my clients for not delivering what was promised."
"I believe Northwestern Mutual has the most fair underwriting process. They stand behind and support their representatives. Northwestern Mutual has extremely fair claims practices and doesn't try to get out of paying claims to improve its bottom line."
"I am proud to say I have been a part of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for 27 years (and still counting)."
Throughout his career, Jim has received numerous awards, including Million Dollar Round Table (Provisional Member: 1977; Qualifying Member: 1978-1985, 1991-1995, 1997-2000; Qualifying/Life Member: 1986-1987, 1996, 2001-2008), National Sales Achievement Award (1977, 1984-1988, 1997-2000), and the National Quality Award (1977, 1984-1990, 1992-1994, 1996, 2000-2008).
Jim and his wife, wife Nathalie, and two children, daughter Brianna and son Spenser reside in San Clemente.
