Northwestern Mutual's Community Service Award recognizes network representatives whose outstanding dedication to local organizations has significantly bettered their communities. Since its inception in 1995, the Community Service Award (CSA) has contributed nearly $1.8 million to some 220 nonprofit organizations through July 2006. Bob Waltos was presented with a Community Service Award for his work with Cystic Fibrosis by Ed Zore, President and CEO of Northwestern Mutual during the July, 2006 Northwestern Mutual Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As President of the Southern California Chapter, Bob Waltos oversees more than 60 fundraising events each year and leads the charge to raise $5 million+ each year. In 2005, Bob helped The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation eclipse that goal to generate $5.657 million net with a budget of $4.5 million -- A RECORD-BREAKING $2.373 MILLION INCREASE OVER 2004.
The Waltos Group is also the title sponsor of the annual Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic. In 2005, the tournament was held at Dove Canyon Country Club on April 28, and raised more than $105,000. Bob Waltos and his group have also assisted with The Annual Guild Gala, GREAT Strides, and other events, with sponsorship, underwriting or participation by Bob Waltos and his team. In recognition of their extensive support and commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Waltos Group was honored with the "Corporate Humanitarian Award" in 2002 and 2003. The award is presented annually to the corporation that has made significant and consistent contributions in support of the Southern California Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Bob offered the following comments while accepting the award: "It was an honor to receive such a meaningful award on behalf of The Waltos Group," said Bob Waltos in accepting the award. "It is truly a privilege to be counted among the many volunteers and donors in Southern California who are dedicated to helping find a cure for the thousands of young Americans living with cystic fibrosis (CF)."

Bob Waltos Receives Community Service Award
The Waltos Group supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through its sponsorship of the annual "Dux In Tux", which has raised more than $1.5 million to help fund research to find a cure for the disease which affects more than 30,000 children and young adults.
